Wine grapes have been cultivated here for centuries. The planted surface with vineyards is around 11,000 hectares, and it is divided into three major areas. Rancagua on the south, peumo on the west and Cachapoal Andes on the east, near the Andes mountains. This last area is recognized by its excellent conditions to produce premium red wines.
